Weekend Picks: Color Blocking

Winter temperatures begin to drop, skies become more lackluster and greenery is just, well, without green. Just because winter is approaching, doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to appear gloomy in black and gray. Adding a splash of color in the form of royal blue sapphire earrings or a delicate blouse is a subtle way to jazz up any winter outfit. If you are into style risks, you can opt for color blocking and combine pieces in candy colored shades like this seamed skirt or mix in accessories with multi-textures. I love the look of these heels and satchel. One of my favorite ways to inject color is by way of a classic overcoat in a shade such as this buttery winter cream, then adding necklaces with color or a festive scarf. Voila!

  1. I love to color block during the winter months because I can really wear some bright colors and tone them down pretty easy. I really helps me get through the long winter months.
