SlimFabulous Tip 4: Exercise Daily

Believe it or not, I work out a lot at home. My busy schedule doesn’t allow me enough time to always make it to the gym; all you need is a great pair of workout sneakers, dumbbells, and a wall and your apartment can be your very own private gym.  It’s amazing how 15-20 minutes of stretching and light-and-easy workouts can bring results.

1)    The wall-sit: All you do is lean against a wall, slide down your knees to a 90-degree angle and keep your abs contracted and “sit” still for as long as you can feel the burn.  This workout helps your hips and thighs, and also prevents getting cellulite. I also like to do shoulder workouts with light-weights while sitting in order to tone my arms and build strength in my upper body simultaneously.

2) Leg stretch: I used to be a cheerleader and dancer before college so I would always partner up to do this stretch, but found that it was my favorite so I would do it by myself at home.  This helps stretch muscles in your legs and torso, and this is especially helpful if you love running or high-intensity cardio exercises.  

3) Twist stretch: This opens up the lower back and stretches your glutes. I love this stretch so much- it feels amazing once you’ve had a tedious run or a long dance class.
