SlimFabulous Tip 2: Healthy Snack Ideas

A great way to live a healthy and fit lifestyle is snacking on the right kinds of snacks.  Instead of candy bars and yummy chips, opt for delicious nuts and fruits.  Sure, it can be boring and tasteless at times, but the way to add some excitement to these healthy options is by mixing and matching. (Kind of like fashion, right?)

Assorted nuts: My favorites are walnuts, cashews, and almonds.  Nuts are loaded with vitamins and health benefits. Avoid nuts that are salted or loaded with artificial flavors, and mix them in a bag for a healthy treat on-the-go.

Fruit Salad: I love slicing and dicing various fruits and enjoying them as a dessert or midday snack.  Fruits are nature’s candy so there’s zero guilt when you indulge.

Yogurt Parfait: As much as I’m a huge fan of NYC’s multitude of frozen yogurt chain shops, they can break the bank if you go too often.  Instead, I choose to make my own at home! I love granola, strawberries, and blueberries with either plain or strawberry flavored yogurt.
